What are anxiety and panic?

Anxiety and panic do not arise directly out of dangerous or painful situations. They actually arise out of your thoughts. In a given situation, it’s the thought of potential danger, not the actual danger, that produces the symptoms of anxiety and panic.

The emotional escalation is difficult to stop when you are in a situation that you can’t avoid. You feel as though you are not in control and that an added danger exists: the situation might overwhelm you.

Are anxiety and panic dangerous for my health?

Every symptom you experience during a panic attack is a natural, harmless part of your body’s fight-or-flight reaction.

All panic symptoms are the direct result of the hormone adrenaline which is released by your adrenal glands when you perceive that you are in danger. Adrenaline is metabolized in your body in less than three minutes. Its effects can go away just as quickly.

How can I stop my anxiety and panic attack?

Your anxiety can be managed as long as your thoughts about difficult situations are realistic and accurate. But if you overestimate the danger and continually predict disaster, your anxiety will increase dramatically. If you can stop your catastrophic predictions, your panic attack will be over entirely within three minutes.

  • explore your fear
  • change the way your body responds to the situation
  • relax when you are in the middle of a panic attack
  • stop the thoughts that produced the panic attack
  • replace the catastrophic thoughts with positive coping statements

I offer in person Anxiety and Panic Management sessions in Quantum Healing Center in Helsinki. Address: Kultakummuntie 16A, Helsinki

If you prefer the convenience of your own home or live outside of Helsinki area, I also offer Skype or doxy.me sessions.

How much does an Anxiety and Panic Management session cost?

One-hour session’s price is 66 €. Three-hour session’s price is 150 €.
